Shadow Dmg Wand Mage Wow

For other uses, see Shadow (disambiguation).
  1. Should i prefer a wand/staff that do shadow damage? Staff will do physical dmg, wands can do various, nature, shadow etc etc. If you’re say, a shadow priest with the Shadow Weaving talent your wand will do increased dmg due to the +shadow dmg taken on the target, assuming it’s a shadow dmg wand.
  2. Quivers don't work, +magic dmg does not work, cant enchant wand with anything, agility does work but only for crit chance. Shadow form works and debuffs on target that increase damage such as curse of shadow, shadow weaving, nightfall, shadow vulnerable mobs.

Like the earlier poster said. If you are a fire mage and farming fire elementals or a mob with high fire resistance, you are pretty screwed. When choosing a wand, I prefer to pick a damage type that is different from my main stuff. For a mage tbh I'd go for a shadow wand because that is a damage.

Shadow (or void)[1][2]magic[3][4] is the manifestation of Shadow, also called Void. Void lords are entities composed of pure shadow energy.[5] The Old Gods are the manifestation of the Void.

Shadow abilities are able to impart feelings like despair, doubt, and panic.[6] Healing can be sacrifice to deal damage with shadow magic.[7]

In the RPG

This section contains information from the Warcraft RPG which is considered non-canon.

The shadow energy (aka Shadow Plane) is not limited to a single plane; it is instead an integral part of every aspect of the universe, woven into every plane. Thus, spells that call upon this energy, such as shadow conjuration, draw upon local sources rather than reaching to another plane. Positive energy remains associated with the energies possessed by living beings, and negative energy with the motive forces of death and the undead. Magical weapons that have effects wielding this energy draw upon energy bound into their own material, freed by enchantment.[18] 'Shadow' is spell type common to many items and spells created by the Shadow Council and other such nefarious organizations.[19] The arcane and shadow magic appear to be tied together.[20] Shadow appears to be split into subcategories or is synonymous with 'Darkness', 'Negative', 'Death', 'Destruction', 'Chaotic', 'Evil', and 'Fel'. It is a damage type often found as a bonus type damage (enchantment or enhancement). In one example it's also a sub-school of the magic school of Illusion (illusions composed of a quasi-real, tangible shadow material with shadow bonuses, ex. Storm, Earth and Fire).[21] Spells of shadow may derive their power from actual shadows & darkness.[22]
